The Internet and How We Watch TV

The internet has changed a lot about how we do things. Instead of buying plane tickets on the computer, you can book a flight on your iPhone. Rather than hail a cab or call an agency, you can have Siri call the nearest one to you. The internet has also changed the way in which we can experience and watch television.

Sure, you have streaming services that allow you to watch entire movies and episodes of shows on the go, but what I’m talking about is the interactive television features you get through sites and services like www.satellitetv-hq.com.

We’ve reached a point where, if you have multiple televisions in the home, you can begin a program in one area and finish it in another without missing a second. We live in an era where television shows you save and archive and record can be transmitted to your laptop or mobile devices.

In short, the accessibility and mobility of the internet has evolved the way we watch television making it less of an anchored entertainment experience and more of something you can enjoy on the fly.

And new things are being discovered and invented every day. In ten years, who knows how we’ll be watching.
