Social networking has become an integral part of many peoples’ lives. By glancing at a phone or a couple clicks of the mouse you can see what your friends or up to. It takes moments, gives loads of information, and is addicting for many. It is very unlikely to come across a website that does not mention a social networking website. Said websites have become a set part of the internet and it is likely to be this way for many years to come. Confused? Here’s a little help .

Social networking, on a smaller scale than it is today, has been around since the birth of the internet. In fact, it could be said that the internet was created for the sole purpose of social networking. Throughout the years socializing over the web has taken the form of blogs, video games, messaging systems, and more. Many corporations have taken advantage of its huge popularity by establishing very valuable businesses. The whole world watched as the world’s largest social network released its stock to the public, and millions of people went to the theater to get some insight on the rise of said social network. Since it has become a household name, don’t expect to see social networks disappearing any time soon.
